We are a family owned and locally operated full service canine boarding and training facility. Unlike standard kennels or your veterinarian, we board in a home environment that is specifically designed to keep your dog(s) safe and happy. This allows your dog to feel more comfortable in an environment that more closely resembles their day to day life. A smaller facility, fewer dogs, and a focus on your dog’s safety and happiness makes Longhorn Dog Ranch your dog’s home away from home!

More than Just Boarding

Longhorn Dog Ranch also offers a wide range of training services from certified dog trainers. From Puppy Head Start to Adult Behavior modification and everything in-between, our trainers focus on you and your family to equip you with the tools to develop a healthy relationship with your dog. We focus on the basics and keeping things simple, a dog is supposed to be fun not a fulltime job! Our In-home training services work around your schedule and focus on getting the whole family on the same page, while our board and train services allow us to give you a head start on basics like sit, stay, and walking nicely on leash.

A Doggy Wonderland

Our large shaded backyard acts as our onsite dog park. We are able to keep dogs of all sizes, ages, and play styles happy by placing them in playgroups that suit their specific needs. Your dog(s) will rotate outside with their playgroup throughout the day, with a minimum of six (6) half hour play sessions per day. These play sessions allow your dog(s) to play, run, sniff, pee and poop or just lay in the sun if that their pleasure! We have 3 separately fenced areas to make sure the rough and rowdies don’t bother the casual sniffers and outdoor nappers. While inside. your dog will have access to many soft places to crash but often they choose a cool spot on the tile floor! We are also equipped with crates for the younger crowd to make sure your dog doesn’t get over stimulated and forget how to sleep in his crate when you get back home!

We Don’t Forget About You

Of course we love dogs but we don’t forget who pays the bills! We are customer service fanatics and understand that our ability to be flexible to your needs is what truly sets us apart. While we want your dog to have a great time, we know you want to enjoy your time away as well. We offer extended drop off / pick up hours, extended stay and multi-dog discounts, and never charge you extra for basic services. Many standard kennel services have a vast menu of “additional services” like giving medication, play time, and evening pick up all available at a an “additional cost” of course. At Longhorn Dog Ranch we believe our overnight boarding rate should be what we charge you to board your dog ..duh! Overnight Boarding should include all the basic services like oral medication, ample playtime, and allowing you to pick up on your schedule, not ours!

Ryan is a native Austinite, University of Texas Alum, entrepreneur and lifelong dog lover. After college Ryan founded a B2B service company with his brother but eventually got tired of emails and conference calls and wanted to do something where he could interact with his customers directly and simply offer an honest service for a fair price. He decided his love of dogs and experience training his own dogs for many years could be a great foundation for a successful small business. After receiving his certificate in training from Canine Trade Group, Ryan quickly learned that canine boarding in Austin was an under served market.

Cassie is a native Texan from Corpus Christi with a 17 year background in the service industry. Her strong work ethic, intelligence and incredible customer service skills propelled her from a young bartender to one of the youngest General Managers in a national restaurant chain. That work ethic and customer service focus allows her to keep Ryan in line and the trains running on time around the house! Her true gift is making our guest dogs feel comfortable and getting even the most skittish pup to cuddle in record time.
